Easter

Join in the Easter celebrations!

If you’re visiting Southampton, at Guildhall Square in the city you can experience The Southampton Passion, a large scale production of the story of Jesus’ entry to Jerusalem, his crucifixion and resurrection. This is sure to be a joyous occasion full of music and great drama.

Also in Southampton at the Common, there’s a fantastic Easter funfair running from the 21st to the 25th April, with great entertainment for all ages.

There are plenty of places across the county to enjoy some traditional Easter events. For example, at Queen Elizabeth Country Park near Petersfield, you can join in with an egg-rolling ceremony. Don’t forget to decorate your egg! For more arts and crafts, why not visit the Royal Victoria Country Park in Southampton and create your own fantastic Easter decorations.

Portsmouth has a great selection of Easter activities to enjoy, not least of which is the Easter Bunny’s mischievous trail through Portsmouth Historic Dockyard. Can you solve the clues and win the prizes?

The Spinnaker Tower also has a special Easter Quiz Trail to tackle, with some superb views out over the harbour to make the experience extra memorable.

This Easter, there’s plenty to explore in Hampshire. For accommodation, attractions and restaurants, iknow-hampshire is an essential resource to help you plan your short break in the area.
