If you’re looking for a holiday destination that’ll really help you wind down, why not stay in a self-catering holiday cottage in Lymington? This charming coastal town features a huge selection of attractions, with one of the most popular venues being the Sea Water Baths, which make use of an inlet from the Salterns. The open air baths have been open since 1833, and are particularly popular with tourists, being open to swimmers from May to September.

Entry charges are low, and children are very welcome to swim – though there are also canoes and boats for hire. Additional on-site facilities include a children’s paddling pool for younger guests, and a sand pit that’s perfect for those less keen on the water. Swimming lessons and kayaking tuition are both available on site, and under-18s can take part in Friday night BBQs during the summer months. Refreshments are served at the on-site kiosk, as are swimming accessories, beach balls and toys.
